Booking conditions
Draft v0.1 · 3 July 2026 · Read together with the Terms of service
1. The price you see
Prices are shown as the total in AUD including taxes and fees— from the first search result through checkout and your confirmation email. Where a property collects a charge directly from guests (for example a local city or resort levy it administers itself), that charge is disclosed on your booking before you confirm and on your trip page under “Good to know”.
2. GST
International passenger transport and overseas accommodation are GST-free under Australian law, which is why no GST line appears on those bookings. Bookings for accommodation located in Australia include GST in the total shown.
3. Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed when we issue a Taxithi reference (TX-…) and the supplier’s confirmation shown on your trip page. Check the guest name, dates and property immediately and contact us if anything is wrong — name corrections are easiest right after booking.
4. Changes and cancellations
- Each rate’s cancellation policy is shown before you book: refundable rates state their free-cancellation deadline; non-refundable rates are clearly marked and are not refunded on cancellation.
- Cancel from your trip page any time. Refunds go to the original payment method; allow 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
- Date or room changes are handled as cancel-and-rebook under the rate’s policy unless the property offers better.
5. Rate Watch
On eligible refundable bookings you can enable Rate Watch. We re-check the price of your exact room and dates until check-in; if it drops, we may rebook the same room and refund you the difference automatically. The rebooked reservation carries the same or better cancellation terms. Rate Watch never risks your original booking: a new reservation is confirmed before the original is released. It is best-efforts and not a guarantee of savings.
6. At the property
Check-in requires photo ID matching the lead guest and often a card for incidentals. Properties set their own house rules (check-in windows, minimum age, pets, parties). Anything listed under “Good to know” on your trip page forms part of your booking.
7. Travel documents
Passports, visas and entry requirements are your responsibility. For flights, names must match travel documents exactly.
8. If something goes wrong
Contact us first — hello@taxithi.com— and we’ll work it with the supplier. Nothing in these conditions limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including where a service is not provided with due care or doesn’t match its description.
