Terms of service
Draft v0.1 · 3 July 2026
1. Who we are
Taxithi (“we”, “us”) is an Australian online travel agency operating at taxithi.com. We arrange hotel accommodation and, at launch, flights supplied by third parties. These terms, together with our Booking conditions and Privacy policy, govern your use of the site and the bookings you make through it.
2. What we do
We act as an agent: when you book, a contract for the travel service itself forms between you and the supplier (the hotel, its distributor, or the airline). We arrange that contract, provide the price and confirmation, and support you before, during and after travel. Supplier terms (for example a hotel’s house rules) also apply to your stay or flight.
3. Prices
Every price we show is the total price in Australian dollars, including taxes and fees, as required by the Australian Consumer Law. If a charge is payable directly at the property (for example a local city tax the property collects itself), we tell you before you confirm. If an obvious pricing error occurs (for example a $2,000 room shown at $2), we may cancel and refund the booking in full rather than honour the error, and we will tell you promptly.
4. Accounts and member rates
Membership is free. Member rates are closed-user-group prices available only to signed-in members and may not be republished or advertised publicly. Keep your account details accurate and your login to yourself; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
5. Payments
Payments are processed securely by our payment partners. You are never charged more than the total shown at confirmation. Where a booking is paid in a currency other than AUD by your card issuer, your issuer’s exchange rate and fees are between you and them.
6. Changes, cancellations and refunds
Each rate carries its own change and cancellation policy, shown before you book and on your trip page. Refundable rates are refunded in full when cancelled within their free-cancellation window; non-refundable rates are not refunded. Details, timeframes and the Rate Watch programme are in the Booking conditions.
7. Rate Watch
Rate Watch is a free feature for eligible refundable bookings: we monitor the price of your booked room and, if the same room and dates become cheaper, we may rebook you and refund the difference. Rate Watch is provided on a best-efforts basis — a rebooking is never guaranteed, your original booking is never put at risk, and we may modify or withdraw the feature for future bookings at any time.
8. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate guest details — suppliers may refuse guests whose ID doesn’t match the booking.
- Hold valid passports, visas and any required travel documents for your itinerary.
- Use the site only to make genuine bookings for yourself or people who have authorised you.
- No scraping, reselling of member rates, or interfering with the service.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for a failure in the services we provide as agent is limited to re-supplying the service (for example rebooking) or refunding what you paid for it; we are not liable for supplier failures beyond the remedies available to you against the supplier and under the law.
10. Intellectual property
The Taxithi name, wordmark, site design and content are ours or licensed to us. Hotel photography and content are supplied by our travel suppliers and their partners.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. (Confirm preferred state with counsel.)
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from its date and material changes will be flagged to account holders. Questions: hello@taxithi.com.
